Our organization provides immigrant and Black community resources to address barriers in career growth, financial stability, and social inclusion. By offering mentorship, training, and support, we empower individuals with the tools needed to succeed. Our goal is to promote equity, representation, and economic empowerment, ensuring everyone has access to opportunities. Through our programs, we help build a stronger, more inclusive community.

Telus Spark Science Centre

The Telus Spark Science Centre if offering free Purple Galaxy Passes to grade 7 students in Calgary.  This initiative is all designed to spark curiosity and make STEM exciting and accessible. The pass gives students free admission for one year and is a great way to encourage learning beyond the classroom.

Africa Centre

Africa Centre partners with Alberta Black Therapists Network to bring free counselling from licensed therapists. These services provide one-hour counselling sessions in the form of short-term intervention. Sessions are available online or in-person in Edmonton or Calgary.

A place to go, extra healthy home-made snacks and hot food, and after school programs make a massive difference for kids whose families are facing strong headwinds.

SPARC Red Deer

Come and learn about the 40 Developmental Assets and how you can help your child grow up healthy, caring and responsible. Building assets in our kids also helps them avoid risky behaviours such as tobacco, vaping, alcohol or other drug use.

HER Connect

If you are experiencing mental health crisis or the thoughts of self-harm or suicide, it is crucial to seek immediate crisis support. HERConnect Initiative provides access to confidential and free crisis counselors around the clock, every day of the year. You can connect with them via chat, or phone.

Our focus is to create and nurture one-to-one mentoring relationships for children and youth in and around Calgary who are facing adversity.

Calgary Immigrant Womens Association

CIWA provides women, including newcomers to Calgary, with the knowledge and support necessary to address the settlement challenges they face, including employment, community engagement, resource access, English communication, cross-cultural parenting, role reversal, and more.
